I am a masseur, musician and mother, living in
beautiful Spain since 2005. I studied therapeutic
massage at the Clare Maxwell Hudson School of Massage in
London, England. Clare retired last year and the school is
now closed, but I had the pleasure of learning massage from
one of England's pioneers in the field.
I decided to specialise in MLD, or Manual Lymphatic
Drainage and took the basic course with Anne Vadgama at
the CMH school. I then furthered my studies at the Foeldi
Clinic in Hinterzarten, Germany. I am a fully-qualified
MLD (Manual Lymphatic Drainage) therapist.
Meanwhile, I studied Nutritional Therapy with the Plaskett
Nutritional Medicine College, qualifying to the first
level. I actually terminated my studies because I
realised a fundamental and frustrating truth: you can give
the best nutritional advice and diets in the world and the
only thing that makes it work is patient compliance.
And the sad truth is that most people are not committed or
capable of changing themselves on this fundamental level
without an energy therapy such as acupunture to help them. I
still give nutritional advice and explanations, but I am never
going to hang a sign on my door saying "Nutritional
Therapist".
What I do pursue with passion is my music...although
motherhood takes a great bite out of any 'me' time I may have
had before. I am getting around to arranging and recording
some new songs that are written and ready.
